WELCOME TO THE DAVID H. HUGHES INSTITUTE OF MISSIONS
Purpose and Rationale

Pastor David H. HughesThe David Homer Hughes Institute of Missions was founded by Pastor EA Ennis and named for the retired Pastor who served the Seventh-day Adventist Church for over 47 years in the United States, Africa, and England.

The Life of Pastor David H. Hughes exemplifies the ideals of life-long and selfless service to God in the gospel ministry. He served the Church with distinction, and is a role model for both clergy and lay members alike in the discipline of personal sacrifice for the fulfilment of the Great Commission.

The David H. Hughes Institute of Missions serves as an instrument to promote the ideals of every-member involvement in personal witnessing as the Christian lifestyle. It is the call of every Seventh-day Adventist to be a channel of light and hope, and to this end, the Institute seeks to fulfill it's mandate through the following means:

  • To produce, procure, and maintain teaching and promotional resources for motivating members of area Adventist churches to enlist in life-long, sacrificial service to God in the work of soul winning.
  • To plan for, organize and promote the annual Lectureship Series on Missions at Praise Tabernacle each Winter.
